Airlock ZG or AB Raptor?

I can get an AB Raptor 6 or 8 from my local SOT pretty much right away, or wait for the next drop of the Airlock ZG 6.5? Will be on a .243 or 6 mm Creed with 20” barrel.

What is your intended purpose? Do you anticipate lots of range time? Or mostly hunting?

I would scratch the Raptor 6 off the list. The 8 is a great can with the 3” reflex.

If you want the shortest , lightest can possible I would use the ZG . I haven’t compared in person but I’d bet it sounds as good or better than the raptor 8

Mostly hunting. I have a howa .223 bolt action with a YHM 556 suppressor for training and practice

For a hunting rifle, the ZG 6.5 seems like a great option for you. It is a very efficient can, so it gets hot fast (according to Danny at Airlock and some other user reports). I expect to get mine out into the field sometime before the end of this rifle season.

The UM Triple6 should also be competitive at 4” past muzzle w/ 2” reflex, 6 ounces, and 6mm caliber. It comes out next week, I think… and there may be a sale on it.
