Going on an 18” tikka 223. Saw it at my FFL yesterday, it’s pretty cool. Looking forward to getting my 6.5 soon as well.

Mine will go on either a 16 or 18" 22 Gaymoor.
For a 22 creed hunting rifle, should I go Nano for the size/weight, or 6.5 for the more volume/max suppression? Both seem appealing really and wanted options.
Q, due to diameter, I'm debating buying an OG6.5 for my new 20" 6.5 PRC. And then moving my 6.5 Airlock to a shorter barreled rifle. Currently, with a Trijicon Accupoint 4-16x50 in UM lows, the Airlock is visible around 6-7X.Between those two, I would go with the Nano. I own them both. The larger diameter of the 6.5 is a drawback, although it is an excellent option. Everything comes at a cost. But for a .224 caliber rifle, I prefer the Nano.

I believe you have both. Can you tell me if the smaller diameter and slightly shorter length in front of the OG allows you clear views at lower scope powers? Or is the difference insignificant?
I don't have a great way to test this with my TBAC 7 because it uses a CB mount. I think the smaller diameter will be better.
Mind posting pictures at low power through the scopes?I don’t see any difference between the Airlock 6.5 or the OG 6.5 using a 3-9x40 on my 22” Sauer 100 or my 18” CZ 527.

Exactly what I was looking for, thank you!Between those two, I would go with the Nano. I own them both. The larger diameter of the 6.5 is a drawback, although it is an excellent option. Everything comes at a cost. But for a .224 caliber rifle, I prefer the Nano.

So in short it's a largely over stated inconvenience? Do folks use less than 6x for anything other than a snap shot? My scopes start on 6x and I will go up to 15-24x on a long shot but majority of the time it rarely goes above 10x, unless at the range. For what it’s worth, on my Tikkas with low rings and a fixed 6x, I can’t see any of my suppressors. Not the Airlock 6.5, OG 6.5, or AB Raptor 10.

I don't think it's an overstated issue (Airlock 6.5 w/ 1.7" OD). As far as I know I'm the only one I've seen minorly bitch about it. But I do find it distracting at 4X, 5X, even 6X. This a 20" Tikka T3X with a Trijicon Accupoint 4-16x50 mounted with UM Low. Once I swap the factory stock for the RokStok, I may be able to move the scope and eliminate the distraction.
It's a non-issue at 7X. But yes, I've killed many critters out west well below 6X.
Sorry to clutter the Nano thread. I just wanted to ask Q because I knew he also owned the OG6.5 at 1.55" OD.
