Airlock Zero Gravity 30

Hey everyone — I jumped on a call with @Formidilosus today and we talked through dB testing and the meters we’re both using.

The new suppressor is absolutely incredible, and based on today’s testing I do believe the .300 Win Mag numbers are legitimately in the 129–130 dB range. That said, some of the 6.5 numbers may be a bit off, or the meter may be having issues accurately capturing data below 127 dB.

We need to collect more data over more days and possibly even run some mil-spec (muzzle) style testing to really lock this in.

Just wanted to be communicative as we continue to refine and validate the numbers — none of the numbers we’ve posted are final yet. These meters are great for rough comparisons, but everything will be finalized at the Summit.

I was kicking myself for only buying a Nano during Black Friday… but now I realize this is the move for my 7PRC at least. Only thing slowing me down is that you’ll come out with something else insane in 3 months 😮‍💨

I’ll be fighting homies in the preorders for this on a 6.5 and will move my 6.5 to my 6.

This but moving the 6.5 can to a .223.
Can’t imagine using this on a single shot 300BO subsonic. Hammer falling would be the loudest part.

For others to understand what @AirlockIndustries and I were discussing- I have little doubt that this can sounds good, however 121 dB(A) are dry fire numbers.

120.0
117.4
119.8

On top of that, as he said we are both seeing some odd readings at times.

Really impressive prelim results. I have a 24” 300rum and 20” 300wm so these are perfect tests for what I’m looking for. How’s the recoil reduction vs bare muzzle on these?

Zero Gravity 30 – .308 Update
20” .308 shooting M80 Winchester White Box (149gr 7.62)

Quick update on testing tonight. All testing was done in 3-shot groups unless otherwise noted.
Both muzzle (1m left) and shooter’s ear (SE) data were collected. As a baseline, the SilencerCo Harvester EVO was run back-to-back in every sequence.

Meter used: Larson Davis 821.
Bare muzzle readings appear extremely consistent; suppressed shots show more variance (either real or meter variance). This is a single data set, we’ll continue running this weekly for better long-term averages.

Notes

Again, don’t take these numbers as gospel, this is one data set, but so far performance looks exceptional, especially considering this is a 6” overall length suppressor.

Tomorrow I’m meeting a friend and planning to do back-to-back testing against a Dead Air Nomad LTi. I’ll share that as well.

This will solidly push me to have my first trio of bolt guns with caliber specific cans. Really looking forward to seeing these in the future
