Air pad inflation

I have an older insulated air core pad from Big Agnes it has the old screw cap air valve. I’ve been looking for something(sack or pump) to inflate it with but I don’t know if anything on the current market is compatible with it. I’ve been looking into new pads but I’d rather not give up on this one just yet. Does anyone on here have any experience with it?

I have the shorter flextail pump. It works great would recommend. Come with multiple different connectors for pads.

a garbage bag, that also doubles as a pack liner, and a soda bottle cap drilled out to fit over the screw end works like you wouldn't believe. Best part is no batteries.

Came to say the same. I think it was posted somewhere in the "free things that work" thread somewhere.

Made my own from a rolltop stuff bag I already use. The soda bottle cap drilled out thing posted above. Works great. Stuff sack is one of my food bags.

They work very well, pump up a mattress multiple times (9x with my big pad) while also being used as a fan to light my woodstove.

I contacted Big Agnes. They said they have something similar coming out soon

Which model/s do you guys use? I've seen a few reviews where people claim they don't fully inflate the pad.
I use the Flextail tiny pump. It has a light on it as well. I can pump up a Big Agnes Boundary Deluxe pad (fully inflates it) daily, use it for lighting the wood stove along with illuminating the tent each night for an hour. The battery will last for 5-7 days doing this. I recharge it with a battery pack or my solar charger. You can see the pump hanging in the tent (daylight photo) and how much light it puts out in the nighttime pic.

I got my flex tail zero today. Fills up my Neo Air pad no issues.

It does require a few clicks of the power button to turn on. Is this normal?

Worst case you could just blow it up the final little bit. If it didn’t fill it completely, it would probably get you within a breath or two.

I am thinking about getting one just because I have not really heard anything negative about them and they are tiny, and I never look forward to manually inflating them.

I also got another pad that I will use in colder temps and I think it’s going to hold more air than my xlite, so I really won’t like manually inflating it

Yep - faster than an electric inflator. There are some youtube vids on DIY'ing these....
