Air Lock Industries Suppressor

Yes. Individual. My shop has a Silencer Shop kiosk but tends to think the Single Shot Trust is a waste of time and money. I'm really not sure.

My ultimate plan is to have a large collection of suppressors and when my kids turn 18 go have a lawyer create a trust for all of us. And no, I'm not sure that's possible. My kids are a ways from 18. Hopefully sometime between now and then, none of this non-sense will matter. Suppressors should come standard with every rifle.
I haven't done it yet but I would recommend creating the trust sooner than that and put your wife on it. God forbid something were to happen to you it should make it much easier to transfer ownership post-mortem and take one thing off of your family's plate.

She can call a local dealer and get Pennie’s on the dollar or literally throw it in the trash. No one will
Care when I am dead and she likely won’t even know what it is.

Did you do silencershop single shot or a traditional trust? My experience with the single shot seems to line up more with doing individual (My last two were single shot trusts) But understand not everyone does silencershop

My silencer shop single shot trust in November of 2025 took 5 days to get approved, 2 of those days were the weekend.

My silencer shop single shot trust submitted on 3/11/2026 is still pending.

Well he was talking about passing his collection of suppressors down to his kids so a little different situation

I have a good long time friend of mine listed as having .5% stake to help navigate that process if and when needed.

As I understand it, a trust is not needed for transfer at death. The estate can take possession and then a form 5 is filed to transfer them at no cost to the heirs. A trust may let heirs take them right away if they are on the trust, but then every approval has to have a picture and prints for each person on the trust.

Imho the advantage of the trust is my wife can have access to the safe and silencers even if I am not around.

Yes that's my understanding as well, it just seems like avoiding one more thing to do and potentially a lot of paperwork (depending on how many cans) would be very nice if a parent or spouse died.

That's the main reason I want to set up a trust as well.

It might reduce paperwork after death, but it adds a lot of hassle for each new can added to the trust.

Just picked up my ZG6.5 today after ATF approved.
Man this thing is light and compact. Its saying 5.5oz on my kitchen scale. Shot it a few times and it seems more quiet than my TB ultra7 30cb gen2 was on my 6.5CM. Great job Airlock, definitely looking forward to purchase a 30cal in the future.

Welcome to the club. I had a Clovis Precision can take 40 days to get approved on a single shot trust. Right now I have an Abel Co Theorem that's already sitting at a month, AND a form 1 SBR that's nearly at 2 months. I think I will be switching to individual submission after this, the trusts can be damned, taking 5-10 times as long. Easy to complain, but its not THAT big of a deal...first suppressor I ever got I waited 13 months for so it has gotten better at least 😂

Mine was approved the day after I posted here (4/2). Hopefully posting here brings you the same luck I got! 😂

I did a single shot trust, submitted on 3/25 and approved 4/8. 14 days.
Well I submitted 3/24, so I guess that means mine should be approved by... yesterday? lol There is no rhyme or reason to the wait times. I must've gotten unlucky with which reviewers desk mine landed on. Still will be better than the 1 year wait I had for my first can.

Dude...you'll never guess what...I got an email this morning that the Abel Co can I had in jail was approved 😂

For everyone else out there, apparently posting on this thread bitching about wait times will get your can approved the next day. It has happened to two of us now which means its getting close to being a peer reviewed scientific method.

Hell yeah!! 60% of the time it works every time….

All you effin whiners should have been buying suppressors a few years back when it was 9+ months wait. Then if you misprinted something on your PAPER application, 11 months later they’d tell you to start over and put you to the back of the line! 😝

“Omg, I did paperwork at 2pm and I don’t have my suppressor and it’s 630pm. This process is stupid! Wahhhhhh!”
