All these tests will show different numbers. So many variables.

The benefit of this test and TBAC is the COMPARISON between cans, not the raw numbers.

I have zero faith in the number 127dB

I have really good faith that the can was quieter than the Ultra 7 in this session.

Yep, I'm very skeptical of the numbers they are posting. I'm sure they are great cans and my buddy ordered one so I'm anxious to hear one in person. Hopefully they send some to the next summit for Pulse data compared to other cans on the same day.

I'm not doubting the fact its probably quieter than the TBAC. My question was more towards the fact of being able to cross reference with TBAC's numbers on their own cans.

I hear you. But if not tested on same day at same time in same way, it’s a bit of apples to oranges.

I’ve watched his videos. He will start with one can and then screw in the next can. Seems mostly controlled with same conditions. Now it’s not in a giant shop in the middle of Wyoming. But I’d say if it’s just minutes apart the data would be close to show there is a difference. If you look at the two major sound groups they are at huge disagreements about testing standards and conditions. So there is no true consensus.

I look at both. Pew feels more scientific to me, where the summit is not much different, then what is done in these tests.

I notice that even in the sound summit the TBAC cans routinely get beat time and time again in most of the categories. But because of reputation people will still chose them even if there is a better sound reducing suppressor. Every time I see, “a which can do I get” TBAC ultras are always out there. But on this forum I feel like if anyone dissents against TBAC or tika or heaven forbid love a Leupold they get called a fudd or something else. When there is huge amounts of data showing suppression for lots of other cans is drastically better. Heck even a few silencer central cans beat TBAC.

Not a whole lot arguing tbac is the most quiet. They just like them because they work, are “accurate”, sound good, etc.

Even tbac admits in their own testing the U7 isn’t as quiet as competitors. It doesn’t matter. Their crowd of folks have brand loyalty to the product (for good reason). They are solid. Work. Have limited issues.

They are no longer the gold standard in suppression though (even they admit it and it doesn’t matter).

EVEN IF Airlocks testing is off and the U7 (during the summit) is somehow 4db quieter than the ZG30….. the ZG is still shorter and lighter, etc. It’s still impressive for what it is (and nearly 50% cheaper btw).

I don’t think we will see that. It will be equal to if not less if I were a betting man.

I know my 7mm zero grav is def quieter than my U7 on a 65cm.

Everything was shot in one take, back-to-back. I just sped up the slower parts to keep it shorter.

We tried offering this option on our current website, but ran into some payment processing issues, so for now we collect payment up front.

Looking ahead, we’re exploring the possibility of a $100 deposit for 6mm and 30 allocations. This would help get you in the queue and give us a better idea of production needs to meet demand.

Nothing is finalized yet, and we’d love to hear Roksliders thoughts.

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere... but what are the expected specs on the 6mm ZG? Say, compared to the 6.5zg with an 18 inch 6mmCreed, will it be lower decibles? Lighter weight? Shorter? Price point? Timeline for availability? Will there be an opportunity for your Rokslide supporters here to get ahead of pre-orders with a $100 deposit like was mentioned as a possibility a couple months ago?
