Air Lock Industries Suppressor

Production update (Black Friday):

I dropped off the suppressors yesterday to be annealed and found out that while they had a “vacuum oven” listed online, what they actually have is a traditional kiln. Titanium suppressors need to be annealed in either a vacuum oven or an argon-purged oven to avoid oxidation.

I spent most of yesterday trying to find a backup option within driving distance but came up empty. Because of that, the 6.5s I was hoping to have ready for machining this week will now be heat treated next week once the correct oven arrives.

Just wanted to keep everyone in the loop. I’ll continue to share updates once the new oven is online and we’re making headway.

The level of engagement here is outstanding. You’ve got yourself a customer once the 6mm can is done. I hope this becomes the norm for more companies creating niche products in this space. Good on ya
