Why do you say that? I already have a guy willing to buy one of mine after we are able to avoid the 400$ fee. Maybe it isn't as easy in AK, but my SOT is less than 3 miles away and barely charges me for transfers because I use him so much.

I guess it's great if you have an SOT nearby where you get a deal. That isn't my situation so Sure, the tax stamp goes away, but the time I pay SOT fees, shipping all that its not likely to be a great deal for me. I want to buy a lightly used TBAC ultra 7 off a guy, he wants 900 bucks. By the time I deal with all the BS, I may as well just buy a new one from capitol armory.

It will be interesting to see where the market ends up. As in, what will be the discount for buying used. What will a can's depreciation be? I sold mine for half what I paid for it. Time will tell.

Depending on the silencer, it might be nice to get 50% for it.

See I know the lost opportunity cost is a real thing - but I’d be selling my Dead air and rugged suppressors for like $300 at most. And OGs wouldn’t be too far behind if that 22 Airlock can turns out to be legit

@DannyB what would be the result if you increased the volumne of the dedicated 223 can to that of the Airlock 6.5? An Airlock 6.5 shell with the .223 bore diameter? I'm intrigued by your 223 can but also can't help but wonder how much more quiet it could potentially be if you utilized the same footprint as the Airlock 6.5 and bumped up the volumne. The Airlock 6.5 is already plenty small for most of us and would prefer even further suppression gains.

Right. But if you made it the size you state it wouldn’t be the lightest or smallest possible right? Has to be a trade off somewhere

@Escalante11 a larger design would be quieter, but it would also increase cost compared with the current .22 model and the price would be in line with the Zero Gravity. The 6.5 will work very well on a .223, and honestly this suppressor already sounds great on a .223.

We’re testing Saturday: we’ll run the .22 prototype and the 6.5 Zero Gravity against an Ultra 7, OG, SilencerCo Harvester, AB10, and possibly an Ultra 5, and we’ll film the results. For shooters who want something slightly larger than the .22 but still optimized for a .223, the 6mm Zero Gravity will be the ticket (Spring 2026).

Excited to see comparison to the ab-10. That’s my fave 223 at this time. If you can half the weight in smaller size with same suppression as ab-10 that’s a win IMO

I do understand the tradeoffs. I didn’t state a size. But if I were to put specifics to it relative to the current version, then I would say; if it was 6”, 6oz and yielded 125db, that would be amazing.

Airlock is disrupting the industry in a fantastic way. I hope the iteration never ends.

Already shooting the zero gravity 6.5 with a 6CM out of a 16.5 inch barrel. Very pleased with the weight and sound.

How much would I gain in sound performance (or lose in weight) by upgrading to the new 6mm version upon release?

We haven’t printed any prototypes yet, still working on the .22 and .30 at the moment. I’ve got drawings of the prototypes on my computer, but I don’t want to share too many details until it’s printed and tested. Based on the performance we’re seeing with the .22, we think we can downsize the 6 a bit without compromising performance. The exact ratio is still TBD

It would be a cool suppressor to be able to use on a 22 pistol, 17hmrs, and still be useable on a 223. I like dedicated cans, but a rimfire and 223 combo. A that is light enough to use on a pistol too sounds pretty sweet.

A Zero Gravity 6.5 arrived today. If this design sounds half as good as it looks and feels, Danny is gonna retire early on a large ranch in Idaho. I have a lot of cans, and based on how small and lightweight this little suppressor is, it seems like it was built for the 5.7x28mm cartridge. Without prior knowledge, there's no way I would touch off a 16-inch 6.5 PRC with this on the end without a long string attached to the trigger.

I will update when I shoot it tomorrow or Sunday.

Calibrated and set up the meter tonight. Three shots - 130.2 dB(A) average on a 22” 22 ARC. We’ll be doing a full test day tomorrow with more data, but initial numbers look very promising.
