Is it noticeably annoying? Thanks for the reply. That seems to be a common thing.
Here are a couple pics of mine. It sits flush at the front and back, but the shape of the stock makes the middle of the bottom metal sit below the stock. Is it noticeably annoying?
Thank you for the pics! Still looks goodHere are a couple pics of mine. It sits flush at the front and back, but the shape of the stock makes the middle of the bottom metal sit below the stock.
That’s good feedback thanks…yeah I have Mountain Tactical’s Metal bottom metal. The only potential issue is the plastic bottom metal failing. I haven’t used mine hard, but the balance point of the gun is near the bottom metal, and the plastic does flex a bit because it is exposed in the middle, I haven’t had any issues, but if personally didn’t love the situation. Go
with an aftermarket metallic bottom “metal” and this is resolved
How much did one of those stocks cost you?Should have looked at wildcat composites out of Alberta. I’ve used 2 on tikkas. Build weight is around 18oz. That was my .300wsm
color is the cerakote?I have been working on a lightweight 6.5-06 AI and the last piece for this puzzle was a solid, lightweight stock. I am a big fan of Tikka actions and like to have rifles built on them when the length works. Since there aren't all that many aftermarket stocks available (campared to a Rem 700 action) I was excited when I heard that AG Composites was going to be building a couple different options.
