Aftermarket Tikka stock.. lighter?

If you go with the open style butt stock it comes raw at 17-18oz, but you can drop an ounce trimming the LOP down to fit most people, then add back an ounce for bedding, paint and finish. From there pick your pad option than can range from 1-8oz. The one I have on my 7mm weighs 29 oz finished, but I want to order another one when he starts importing again and do one that finishes around 20 ounces for my short barrel 6.5 Creedmoor.

I have a 1" pad. Stock finished at 21oz...thats 1/2lb lighter than factory...rifle is 5.5# bare, 7.1# w/a 4-16

What pad did you use to end up at 21oz?

It has the 1" trimble foam pad from wildcat...I didn't paint it, but it's got a brown base with black webbing.

YouTube has a ton of good DIY spray/webbing videos

I just contacted Wildcat Composites’s and they still are not shipping to the states yet and no timeframe when they will be able to.

I have a Wildcat with my gunsmith right now. It’s the ultralight model. He says it’ll finish at 20 ounces, with a 1” Decelerator.
