Don't skip on the functionality of a chsssis. The folder is a game changer for keeping longer barrel and still fitting nicely on a pack. I am not a huge fan of all the little micro adjustments, once i get it where i like, it never moves again. When i need to clean- swing it out of the way and no more dripping on the cheek rest.
I hate the aluminum though. Mdt XRS is my next choice. Also, depening on the hand size you may not like some of the vertical grip stocks out there. View attachment 826965

Xlr element gen 1, mdt vertical grip, Henderson arca rail. This was before mlok was really popular so I had to get creative with adapting new age stuff on it, I also did a conversion to adapt it for a folder and when it became my main hunting rig I dropped the heavy scope and swapper back to a 30mm. The chassis and it's accessories comes in at 3.28lbs. Bergara LA, 24" no. 5 contour, gemtech suppressor, viper HSLR, magazine and bipod is right at 14.5 lbs. A hair on the heavy side. My savage 22-250 with a 20" heavy Palma barrel, mdt lss chassis setup and mdt rail, brick of a scope and suppressor comes in at 12.0 lbs, easily a 9-10lbs gun without the scope and a lighter barrel

I’d LOVE to get a MDT chassis but even with a LE discount they are so far out of my budget… that HNT26 is the one I have had my eye on…
