Which ones are y’all using . Frustrated with Rigid lights.
Like the brightness, but even with rigid harness keep blowing fuses and lights won’t stay on.
Dealer keeps forking me too.

I like them for lighting up the boat ramp in the wee hours to where I can see to back the boat

...are they fused properly? Or is it a water intrusion issue. You may want to check the amperage rating.

They should be. I basically paid 2x now to have the dealer re-wire. One light is leaking

Agree with above post. Rigid, morimoto and kc are the only brands ive personally tried that i haven't had issues with. Theres several other companies that make good stuff tho. My friend likes his baja designs ones. Have someone else take a look at it for sure.. then tell the first installer if they say its wired wrong and try to get a refund/partial refund? If the light is letting in water i bet rigid would send you a replacement, kc hilites just did the same for me on one of my lights and it was like 2.5 years old

My Rigid lights have been flawless. They really light up the boat ramp. Could be your installation?

Rigid and Baja Designs are quality stuff. Most likely point of failure is your dealer/installer.

Installation location options? Pics?

Like the idea of a flush mount cut into the factory bumper, but have also considered mounting to the outside of class III hitch framework.

Lighting for the front and back of my trucks and horse trailer is on the winter project list.

Rigid all way around someday!

But for rear lighting I use an affordable one from knight. It fits over trailer hitch and therefore is removable if I’m going to be in rough terrain. Bright white shallow fog pattern that is perfect for boat ramps at night, processing deer at night. Etc.

Honestly think it was under $50, had them so long I’ve bought replacement lens/bulb they sell to drop in. Still less than $100 for 15 years.

If you're blowing fuses, I'll bet it's not wired with a relay. You should use a relay, fuse, and a diode on the power to the lights (sometimes you don't need a diode but you'll often get feedback that will interfere with backup sensors). I went with Baja Designs S1's installed in the bumper but didn't need a huge amount of light.

These are easy to DIY, lots of youtube videos to walk you through it if you're not familiar with it.

I did the cheaper route and went with the rough country cut ins and have no complaints with the lights but they are to bright for the reverse camera and it washes out the picture. Was easy to install just need to get the guys to cut into the bumper.

I also put a 20” rough country bar on the front and everything got wired into the stock upfitter switches in the truck.

5BE4A7CC-EFFB-4E09-A1D5-D4ED78BD2637.jpegI used some thin 1/4” metal from my buddy’s shop. Cut and welded to make custom brackets. Uses pre-existing holes from factory in bumper so no drilling …
I have a thing about drilling /cutting a new truck
