Other than Pure Precision what are some good after market stocks that are around a similar price point and lightweight?

Macmillan’s are so expensive compared to other stocks. There a reason to choose those over stockys or pure precision?McMillan Edge stocks used to be on the list but guess not anymore![]()
What’s the recoil like on it? I was thinking of 7BC or .300wm buildI’m really happy with the Boyd’s Laminate that I put on my T3X lite .300 wm.
The gun, with that stock, weighs almost exactly 9 lbs. I had a limbsaver recoil pad put on it. I’m shooting 180 grain accubonds at just over 2900 fps. What’s the recoil like on it? I was thinking of 7BC or .300wm build
None are exactly cheap these days, Manners also builds a nice stock but even more $$$ For a trad style stock the Hunters Edge from McMillan is nice IMHO and you can find them on sale on occasion.Macmillan’s are so expensive compared to other stocks. If laminate is in your scope, we are working on a laminate stock that is a smash up of the Bravo and Master Sporter. The grip and other design will make it recoil better. What’s the recoil like on it? I was thinking of 7BC or .300wm build
Yeah the only things that turns me away from laminate is usually the weight. Plus I’m a fan of the more vertical style grips instead of the classic style hunting stock. If laminate is in your scope, we are working on a laminate stock that is a smash up of the Bravo and Master Sporter. Weight will help too, but we don’t want it heavier than it needs, so we will also skeletonize the butt to drop some weight.
With those calibers, the added weight over a carbon fiber will shoot better but carry heavier.
What style features do you want?

Same, so we are doing a vertical grip. We will also do a carbon fiber of similar form factor, just not skeletonized.Yeah the only things that turns me away from laminate is usually the weight. Plus I’m a fan of the more vertical style grips instead of the classic style hunting stock.
