Advice on Seek Outside Pack Size

My Divide packs down just fine for shorter hunts.

Good to know. Does the 4800 Divide not pack down small enough? If so, is it more the bag that does not pack down well? Thanks.

Yes, it definitely packs down. But IMO, packs function much more efficiently when you're using most of the pack volume. For example, my Divide has a tall packet on the right side. I like to use that side for a bladder. That pocket gets harder to access when the pack is all cinched down.

Look I love the Divide. I will just never need a pack that big for a week. It's not a big enough deal that I would go through the process of selling and buying a smaller pack. But, if I were buy new, I would definitely get the smaller pack.
