adding knee pad / knee pad holder in pants

Has anyone modified any Kanab or Kuiu or other similar synthetic stretchy pants with knee pad / knee pad holders? I like the having them there instead of putting on wrap arounds all the time.

Is the only option Rainey Pass for alterations?

Probably not the answer you are looking for, but I put my knee pads inside my long underwear (icebreaker). They are tight enough so the pads don't move around while walking. Only issues I've had is the knees to my long underwear start to get holes after about 2 seasons (just another reason to buy more hunting stuff!)
