Adding a liner to pants

Folks has anyone added a liner to pants? I have a pair of pants I like a lot but they're as windproof as cheesecloth.
Any thin second layer might make my hunts more comfortable.
Appreciate any shared experience or advice.

I wear a pair of 32’ thermals under my pants.
Or you can buy a pair of athletic pants (nylon or polyester) and wear them under your favorite pants or sew them into your pants for wind protection.
or even fannel pajama pants sew into them may work.
(I have a pair of fannel lined carpenter jeans for the winter.)
