Added a brake and lost all accuracy- WTH?

You only shot 3 rounds with the brake on, how do you know 2 of them weren't in the same hole?

Also, standing on it to crack 2700 with a 185 doesn't sound right.. That's pretty slow. Should be able to get to 2800+.

I've not contacted the Smith. He's a solid guy. Decades of service.

Was trying to get some insight prior.

I liken that to calling the Breeder if your dog bites someone....
Insight from the guy that built it is better than any other. No one on here has handled it in person.
If he is a solid guy, he will fix it.

It didn't work out of the box. So it's like buying a trained hunting dog that won't hunt.

Good odds that there's nothing wrong with any of it. I have seen guns that shoot great open up dramatically with a break. Change the brake and it shoots great again. Same break on another gun shoots great.
This. Barrel harmonics is alchemy.
