Do you ride mountain bikes? Tons of trails, both lift served and pedal friendly. Jans mountain sports in town rents bikes. If you don't bike, PCMR has a decent base area of activities, the Alpine Slide is a blast. Will you have a car? Drive the Mirror Lake hwy into the Uintas for great scenery and fishing. The brunch at Stein Erickson's lodge at Deer Valley is spendy but awesome.

Looking for outdoor stuff specifically, restaurant reccos? What else do you like to do?

You can ride the Olympic Bobsled run. Even in warm weather.

Ruth's Chris has a restaurant that really good.

Thanks! Yes outdoor activities, restaurants (those hidden gems), particularly scenic hikes. I MTB but wife lacks confidence in it. Maybe there are some scenic beginner trails we could try?

If you want the primo trail/scenic mountain experience, visit the trails up little cottonwood and big cottonwood. There are no beginner mtn biking trails up there though. Wayyyyy more beautiful than PC side. The Uintas are also awesome... My favorite.

For restaurants and fine dining, I don't think I know of any hidden gems around here, but the Mexican food at the place next to Mirror Lake Station which is a gas station on the corner of mirror lake highway in kamas is pretty awesome. Bohemian Brewery down in Midvale has great food too.

I'll PM you my favorite trail up Little Cottonwood if you want it and promise not to spread the word!

If Tupelo is open in Heber, go there for food. Amazing food..

If you fly fish consider hiring a guide for the day as well.

I’ll echo Little Cottonwood, I live at the base. Not sure how long of a hike but pay the fee for the summer road. A beautiful hike up to Catherine’s pass and if you can make it further, summit out on Sunset peak.
