There's a decent amount of thermal imaging being flown right now. But, doesn't make it easy in the terrain they're in.

First thought was a cartel grow, second thought was forestry pyro-terrorism and an ambush tied back to the Middle East (Hezbollah has done this in Israel, via locally recruited assets), third thought was a radical domestic political group of some kind. If it was just one shooter it'd be a nutjob, but two is a bit more notable for what it indicates.

Yeah if it’s more than one all of that sounds very possible, I am a FF by trade and have known… 2 dudes who caught bullets sleeping with some guys wife… they say it’s safer to leave your wallet full of cash on the kitchen table than leaving your wife/ gf at the firehouse…

All that makes sense, hopefully they kill these bastards quick.

Sounds like there hasn’t been any more shots for a bit. I wonder if the fire wasn’t only set to draw first responders in but also as potential “cover” for the person/s to vacate the area. If they know the area well I wouldn’t think it would be too hard to just disappear.

Making guesses regarding a situation that is being likely misreported in the early stages is foolishness.

Actually that’s false. In Colorado weed is legal. Near my town there has been many large grows out in the national forest that have been discovered. Law Enforcement said its cartels behind it. Even thou it’s legal doesn’t mean people follow the law and grow and pay the taxes etc.

Has happened a few different times just in this area. My step dad stumbled upon on hunting and alerted authorities. Law enforcement has told me that legalizing it actually caused an increase in growing operations and more on the black market to states where it’s not legal. Cartels also buy up houses to Grow in in states where it’s legal.

I’m a fireman. Never know what the deal is though. Years ago we had a guy who was going thru a divorce or losing his house to the bank can’t remember. But he lit his house on fire and was shooting at police and firefighters as they arrived on scene. He ended up killing himself. But never know the type of people that do this stuff.

Weed is definitely not legal in Idaho. In fact, the ID Senate just passed a mandatory fine for possession in February.

I feel like it's quite common for there to be initial reports of multiple shooters when mass shootings happen. But it rarely seems to be the case.
