Could I get a moderator to check on my main account ThorM465, please?

For whatever reason I’m currently unable to use that account. No error message, no nothing, eventually it just loads a blank screen. I've tried multiple browsers on multiple devices and it's the same results. The site works fine if I'm logged off, which lead me to trying to create this new account as an experiment. Everything seems to work fine on this account.

I got banned from a different forum once because someone thought I was a meany head and reported me. I wear it as a badge of honor.

However, this forum seams to have members with far thicker skin than most. I appreciate that, and the mods do their jobs well.

No I received nothing.

I didn't issue it so I'm not sure the exact reason, although had you listened to my advice you wouldn't have found yourself in this exact situation.

There are plenty of discussion threads on here with differing view points, I guess it's more of how you say it, then what the actual opinion was.

We have been forced to permanently ban multiple folks for continued stirring up drama, time is a commodity for everyone and moderators won't be constantly cleaning up after any member that feels more entitled than everyone else.

That’s fair. I just think it’s weird that people here were allowed to blast me for weeks. Attacking me in threads for something I said in completely unrelated threads.
Then when I begin to defend myself I get banned for it?

Let me be clear. People can make all the comments they want, they can attack me, they can sit in the corner while they point and giggle at me. I do, however, expect to be given room to defend myself if the attacks are going to be allowed.

As I see it we can have a forum where threads like this exist, people are ridiculed, borderlined attacked, and dissenting opinions flourish or we can have a forum where we’re all gentlemen and some opinions are beyond the pale. I strongly prefer the former. Regardless of which forum this is I think it’s reasonable to expect rules to be applied equally and fairly.

What have I missed?

If you feel others aren't adhering to the standards please report them.

The moderators didn't single you out, you were highlighted by other members for not following the standards.

I simply add more to the end of sentences, maybe a *chuckle* or lol after calling someone names, and talk about grinning often while thinking about what asshats folks are. Oh, and misspelling or making up cus words also helps keep you off time out.

I honestly never thought about simply making new accounts - that may be the best solution of all - like whack a mole. lol

I'd caution that none of the above work except to propel you to e a finality where your ip address is no longer welcome on this forum.

What exactly is the standard? I can only assume those on this thread are violating it?
Just to be clear this is not me reporting on any of them. Most have been pretty funny. I was serious when I said I’d rather a forum allow hurt feelings as opposed to banning wrong think. That being said I do take issue with being blasted by FNG accounts. It seems like you should of had to participate and offer some contribution to the forum before you’re entitled to take shots at other members on the forum.

So I was singled out by a minority of members here?
Who is really the problem. The guy with the unpopular opinion or the ones who lose their minds when it crossed their delicate ears? I understand that it’s much easier to just ban the former. However, that will inevitably lead to a toxic echo chamber with little to no value e.g., Reddit.

Question: is there some limit on how many times a member can report someone before they’re banned? A Karen rule?

From someone that read the thread in question, and never commented, I suggest you clean your mirror very very well and take a good looooooong look into it, as you receiving a temp ban took waaaaaaay to long; and, the meme gang went awfully easy on you.

Excellent way to put it. Guy came back skunked from WY with a chip on his shoulder the size of a no motorized vehicle sign. Those that disagreed with him were feces throwing baboons and karen libitards. Now he asks the mods "why me, what I miss?" The ban being temp was a gift.
