Finally decided to get a suppressor for my 308 hunting rifle. Bolt action use only. I was pretty set on the AB A10, but saw the new BANISH HNT 30 SS is available and fairly close in cost. I considered a DD Enticer Ti, but the availability seems pretty far out and it’s not that much lighter.
The Banish is 13oz vs 11oz for A10

Is there any compelling reason to go with the Banish over a tried and true option in the A10?

Banish, and by extension Silencer Central, has a negative reputation. I personally have a Banish 30 and have found Silencer Central to be responsive and quick to respond/help. I dropped a barrel off to get it threaded and it was done in a day, then was shipped the next day.

I like my Banish just fine for a simple hunting suppressor. I haven’t spent enough time behind other cans to make a real comparison so maybe I’ll change my mind in the future, but so far it’s worked well for me.

I don’t think Silencer Central’s online hate is entirely justified, but between the two options, I would go with the AB A-10 just because I know it is a very good product.

I'm planning on the AB once it's back in stock. I've looked into the Diligent Defense Enticer S is that isn't much more expensive and is available, but I haven't committed yet. Too many needs...suppressors, backpacks, motorcycles haha

I feel you on that, I'm in the same camp. Supressor is a nice to have but not a absolute need. Some gear sits at a higher priority. If and when you do get the AB, would be curious of your thoughts on it.

Cheers

If you’re looking at silencer shop, they likely have them. Not sure why it’s still showing back order. I ordered over the phone the end of May and they had 300 coming, told me I was number 25. Mine got to my dealer June 2, just waiting on trust approval.

I have an A-10 and it’s a great can for $500. If I was going to spend more, I would get a reaper or OG-30, but those are twice the money for a little less weight.

My A-10 compares well to my Ultra 7 and Airlock ZG 6.5 in suppression with weight savings being and cost being the big difference. The A-10 on a 16” barrel negates a lot of the balance issues compared to a 22” barrel.
