Sucks it was videoed and that the video was released. If what Aron said is true, it seems like that was the best option to dispatch the coyote in the moment. I do find it strange that he always seems to be in hot water after a couple years with every public relationship he has, however he’s always been willing to help his followers. I think he’s just like the rest of us, a human experiencing life and making mistakes along the way.

Fair, it looked to me like he was nervous and trying not to get bit. I know friends that wouldn’t be scared at all and go straight to stabbing or stomping. I’d imagine I’d be a little cautious myself. Like I said, unfortunately it was on video. It doesn’t look to me like he’s trying to torture it. He probably should have gone back to the machine and grabbed the gun.

This is way overblown IMO. Dude said he rode a SxS out there and left his rifle in the truck so a knife was the quickest way. Killing things by hand is always nasty but he did it fairly quickly. One kick to stop it from running away and prolonging the incident, 2nd kick looks like he's trying to pin the head down probably to cut the throat but then backed off. The tail toss is obviously to get it out to more accessible opening and not get bit in the process. Come on yall, just because Meateater says something's bad doesn't always make it true.

His apology video was as much of a disgrace though. It was all about him and how it was “the lords plan” to help get him off social media and his addiction. That is the most ridiculous statement I’ve ever heard from an influencer.

No apology to the hunting community for all the anti hunting legislation that will follow.

I've had to dispatch 2 animals with a knife and it's a LOT harder (mentally not physically) than pulling a trigger.

I'm glat that that I'm a nobody and not filmed for everything I do out in public.

Even if I agreed that doing that to any animal is justified, it doesn’t change the fact that antis use this material to fund and draft new bills, especially anti predator hunting ones. I’d like to be able to manage all predators in the future. But if idiots keep filming and posting everything they do in our community we are all going to lose. Another case recently is Cody Johnson posting his grizz grip and grin. Look at what this does.

Yes, whomever intentionally leaked that video with the intent to harm him should be kicked like the coyote. Aron didn't post it. Also FWIW I'm not a fan of his so not defending him for any other reasons than I think this is getting blown out of proportion.

Might need to watch it again, he clearly stabbed it behind the shoulder. The whole video is him attempting to stab it without getting bitten. He should've brought a gun and we wouldn't be having this conversation, but sometimes things don't always go down perfectly.

I'm more pissed at Meateater and Born Primitive than Aaron Snyder. Pretty easy to explain whats happening in the video without caving to the anti's. But for the love of God.....stop videoing every damn thing we do!
