Has anyone run AAE's Hybrid 26 and fixed blades ??? I'm looking at building my first set of arrows and will be running Kudu point 125's and X-impacts and am looking at my vane options and these caught my eye .

cheers

Yeah I’ve tried them. They’re on the flexible side which isn’t the greatest for fixed blades, especially at longer ranges.

Both are good. I will say the heat is just slightly more rigid than pro max. The bases on pro max are wider too, meant for a larger diameter 3D arrow. Might not be able to get as much helical on a micro with those.

Thanks again . I was checking out the Max Stealth as well but seemed heavy in 4 fletch . The hybrid's seemed lighter (and caught my eye) so i guess that explains their being more pliable .

thanks

Max Stealths are pretty tough to beat for fixed blade BHs. I’ve extensively tested 4 fletch configurations of AAE’s Pro Max and PM 23s with big 125gr heads on Easton Axis 5mms and have found that a 3 fletch Max Stealth config flies best. No need to put four Stealths on. Three fletch works great. I really wanted to go smaller and lighter, but the proof is in the arrow flight and the Stealths simply fly and steer better.

How did the Pro Max do in 4 fletch?

Funny you ask. I was aiming to use the Pro Max as the vane for this year’s hunting season. 4x fletch yielded tight groups with field tips but they were just too small to steer a 125gr Solid brand fixed blade. I tuned the bow meticulously but they just didn’t shoot well. Have a whole bunch if you want to give them a go.

Late edit: FWIW, I use the Pro Max for my 3d arrows. They work great in that application.
