Came across this announcement today.
Looks like 3 lines of ammo.

Guardsman, Sabre, Mixtape.

Interesting the Sabre line specifically is going to have lot specific ES/SD, Velocity, and test barrel info.

Let’s hear your thoughts below!

I have been scarcely shooting my 75gr aac Sabre rounds. I can’t wait to stock back up. Shooting them out past 900 yards is a good time.

I feel you - I’ve been saving these bad boys for a rainy day. Hard to want to shoot them when I knew they wouldn’t be replaced for a bit.

I wish they'd stamp their brass a little harder or something so it had ~the same capacity as LC 5.56.

Otherwise, my only complaint about AAC ammo is that it's been hard to get for the last several months. I don't care about the rebranding either way. Just care that it's back in stock. :)

😬
I maybe have 150 rounds left of my batch. I shot a “practical shooting” match with them, plus countless long range sessions. I was putting around 100 shots a week down range. I figured palmetto wouldn’t be longer than a year out from a restock, but I was still hoarding my last bit.

Can't complain about the pricing. Just wish their OTM and Sabre stuff shot better for me... never did try their 77TMK but hopefully it becomes readily available... before all you other 'slide heathens snatch it all up :)

This is very good to hear. I shot a ton of AAC 6.5 Creed and 6.5 Grendel the last couple of years.

I bought 1500 of the 77 OTM last year. Two or three weeks before they stopped.
It shoots ok. Probably 1.5 moa in my gun which is just fine for training.
I have had several duds. Probably a dozen by now. Which isn't bad. But it definitely hosed me a few times at S2H during timed drills. It was like having a Remmy trigger all over again. Get a click instead of a bang

The brass seems pretty good. My chamber is AI so it's been a good way to get brass for handloads. Able to get 10 for 1 moa with it. My other guns with Alpha and ADG struggle to shoot that good.

I’ve shot about 2500 rounds of AAC 5.56 over the last couple years. It was a mix of 77 OTM, 77 TMK, 75 gr Saber. No misfires, but the accuracy was about 2.5-3” out of a 1.25-1.5” gun (20 round groups compared to Black Hills). Serviceable for training and hunting within 200 and good for the cost, but not great. The fact that they are going to track stats by lot and make them available to buyers sounds promising, but the numbers will tell the tale.

I think that’s been the plan since AAC shut down. They were having problems with their supplier and decided to close the doors until their own powder plant was up and running.
Yep. The note about "going away from high volume to focus on purpose built lines" makes me wonder if the price point will be different.
