Update to my cleaning, I purchased Cherry Balmz bolt gun grease placed a small dab of it on the cocking ramp and it has been operating smoothly for around 40 rounds and about 100 dry fires. I haven't noticed any dirt build-up yet.

I’ve started using mineral oil with some clove oil added to it for the outer surfaces of all my firearms. It’s basically the same thing that the Japanese put on their swords. It smells nice and is food grade, so I don’t have to worry about what I might be absorbing.
