A new knife!

My buddy started making knives a few years ago. Of all his friends I’m the knife but but never seemed to get into the rotation. Well my time arrived and I’m super stoked on the outcome. We sat down designed the knife and today I picked up the finished blade. 1084 steel with a tapered tang for weight. I can’t wait to try it out.

What’s the purpose of the hole in the blade? I’ve seen that on a few knives.

The hole is like a post. It really grabs when you pinch the blade for control and allows you to apply pressure when needed.

I’m the black sheep of my family with absolutely no one except me into the outdoors. About 25 years ago my parents gave me a knife from Orvis. It’s the only thing for the outdoors they have ever given me worth anything and it’s been excellent. I can’t wait to put this new knife in circulation as it can become generational with my kids now getting into hunting and fishing. I waited a long time for this knife and my friend’s skills have come into impressive work.
