I’ve only been hunting for about 53 years but often read on the internet about putting a bullet through the “front shoulders.” Are there rear shoulders? If so, where are they located? Are they also a good point of aim for bullet placement?

Asking for a friend…

Thanks,

John

All the gut and ass shots I’ve had over the years were still “shot behind the shoulder”, so what’s the problem?

If you are going for a rear shoulder shot, this one will drop them like a sack of potatoes. They won't die. But you will drop them in their tracks if you hit them there.

How do you get them to stand still while you spray paint the dot? Or is it a sticker?

Anyone I've guided/hunted with who uses the term "aim for the front shoulder" turned out to not really be a killer at all.
