One advantage of being retired is I can get out when most folks are working.
Took advantage of the blue sky morning yesterday for a couple hours in western Montana
photographing. Started with an owl in the morning fog and ended with an antelope about
2 hours after sunrise. The only person I saw was a wildlife biologist doing a waterfowl survey.
Zoom in on the bison photo...hundreds of flies on the bison's back.

I might be wrong about the bison, but I’m fairly confident about half those flies are actually swelled up ticks
