First, how would I best go ahead with shortening the LOP on my Finnlight. It's a bit long for me, I'm 5'10" and I feel 13 1/4 - 1/2 is best for me. I am often shooting while I have a pack on my back so if the LOP is a bit long it feels awkward. Can a gunsmith just cut 3/4" off the back of the stock? It looks like it should be easy enough and there is enough room in the insert.
Second, these scope mounts are on a M7. I'm not overly familiar with this style. How does one make sure they are keeping the scope centered and not offline when tightening the screw that holds the ring secure. Obviously, I am trying to tighten them evenly but I figured there might actually be a system.
