I pulled that PBB barrel on my gun and put my PVA barrel on and things are back to normal.

I think my left to right stringing is the McMillan stock. It has a weird grip.

I shot match burners and factory. Just fine.

I'm going to try DTACs this weekend. The PBB barrel made a 4" group of those too.

I inspected the PBB barrel. It has rifling but it just doesn't work. It behaves like a shot out barrel.

When a barrel shoots 3+ MOA groups with known combinations- it’s bad. No amount if fiddling will make it better.

Yea if the first 50 sots shoots like shit with sound ammo, it’s junk to me. Iv never loaded myself into a great barrel.

That’s the unfortunate thing, most barrel makers are going to want the whole system, which I’ll never do again. I have a PVA I need to send back as well.

I’ll throw it in the scrap pile before I send another company my rifle.

I'm late to the party here, but Form is right. Guns that shoot well shoot almost everything reasonably well. Guns that shoot really good shoot almost everything very good. If you are over 2 moa with a custom barrel, it is time to check the gun, the twist rate, the chamber, the bedding, the scope, and use factory ammo.

If I had a barrel shoot like some of the stuff here, I would immediately screw it on another rifle system and check it. After that I would call the gunsmith, then the barrel company. If no one will do anything, cut your losses and start over. New barrel from different company that will stand behind it and different gunsmith to chamber it.

Good companies have very few bad blanks (still have some get through). Good gunsmiths can normally tell if they had a problem when chambering/crowning/threading and won't send it out the door. Normally a great blank and great gunsmithing will make a scary precise rifle. There are other ways to get there, but the odds are most in your favor if you use that approach.

What lot number on tmks. Does your barrel have free bore like @Nine Banger ? I have the 16” 1:7.5 tw seems to shoot anything. Have 60 more factory to burn up and 200 tmks i just bought last week locally. Worried if I burn them up I won’t find more.

I got rid of them. Freebore seems normal but I think it’s just a bum barrel. I’ve tried 5 different bullets and the best I can get is 1.8” I couldn’t even get bergers under 2”

6 Creed is 2.89 MOA for 30. I shot 10 at a different target and the groop was so bad I shifted to another bull. This is a compost of the 10 and 20 round groups.


243 is 2.14 MOA for 33 rounds. Shot 7 is a compost as I aimed at the wrong bull.



It is not an inherent problem with the rifles.

This is the 6 creed today with 112 MBs and 108 ELDMs.

112 MBs


108 ELDM, Shot immediately prior to the 95 TMK.


This is the 243 with 108 ELDMs for about 2 weeks ago.


Edit: The 6 Creed can was loose and I shot the TMKs last. I'll try them once more with a different powder or charge just to confirm.

I suspect you are chasing your tail with the 95's. I lost interest in screwing with them, just not worth it when others fly so nicely.
