What do you guys wear in these conditions? I'm going to be hunting some foothills for mulies in southeastern Washington and the Temps show 90+ degrees for the first week of season (September 1). Was wondering what you guys do to stay cool but still be camouflaged out. I have sitka mountain pant as of right now to get started.

I wear a lightweight merino top and bottom and my Microtex Lite pants. If I need some protection for the merino top, I'll throw on the Microtex Lite shirt. I love hunting in the heat, especially in Sept.

I often hunt shirtless. Makes for some scary selfies and prolly melanoma, but nothing rivals bare skin. I'd hunt in a loin cloth if I could.

I ran the Kyptek Hyperion last year and found it cool in hot weather

I recently wore the first lite Llano QZ during a training exercise. Temps were 95* with high humidity that resulted in a heat index of 107* I sweat in pretty much any weather and never imagined I'd wear a long sleeve top voluntarily, but I figured it would be a good test for the merino. Plus the fusion camouflage pattern came in handy hiding from patrols. I was very surprised at how well the Llano worked. I was able to stay as comfortable as possible in those field conditions, and the merino breathed exceptionally well. I didn't overheat and was able to cool off in a slight breeze due to the quality of First Lite's merino.

If you are not going through briars and such try on of the mesh camo shirts & pants. I call them camo lingerie but it is the coolest way to hunt that I know of if you don't need protection from brush. I ALWAYS have thermacell under these conditions also.

Forgot to mention how the merino resists odor as well...even after running around the woods for 8hrs, crawling in the dirt etc there was no stink coming from the wool. Very useful in a hunting situation.

I'm going to be getting myself a Kuiu tiburon shirt and possibly a pair of shorts for fishing and the occasional hunt over the this summer (Aus). Ill let you guys know how they go, I have heard really good things about them.

tiburon pants or a pair of lightweight non camo shorts. then a synthetic top like the kuiu peloton or their 125 merino top. synthetic more comfy but gets stinkier quicker. for me i prefer the peloton top and merino tops to the tiburon shirt.

kUIU Tiburon pants are the best hot weather pants on the market, period.

For the top any wool LS will work and if you don't want wool the Tiburon shirt from kuiu is ok, but I usually am wearing wool always.

Tiburon pants are my favorite hot weather piece, an essential item for me.

Been experimenting with merino SS and synthetic SS under Tiburon LS shirt, this functions well. As mentioned here before the Tiburon shirt worn alone when sweating isn't that comfortable because it doesn't absorb the sweat, hence the need for a shirt underneath. IMO.

exaclty what i do.wear the tiburon shirt as an outer layer on cool mornings/evenings over a lightweight merino or syn top bc the shirt isnt very comfy to me as a base layer not absorbing sweat.
