Thought it would be nice to have some data in one spot.

If adding data include cartridge, brass, primer, powder, bullet jump and other pertinent info.

I’m thinking of your adding more data as we go maybe edit your original post to include it to try to keep thread from getting too cluttered and needing to search while thing for info.

22 Arc. 18” 7 twist barrel. Alpha brass. Fed 205 primer. Loaded at about .035 of jump.

LVR

Tested for pressure signs up to 31.5 gr. Really didn’t see any signs of high pressure.

Edit : 3 shots at each load testing pressure
30.5 gr : 2950 fps
31 gr : 3028 fps
31.5 gr : 3050 fps

KyleR1985 asked about jumping the bullet .100. I used starline brass and downloaded a little. Here is that group.

Tested for pressure up to 31.5 gr. Started getting tension on bolt lift at 31 grains.

Edit : 3 shot groups testing pressure
30.5 gr : 2915 FPS
31 gr : 2970 fps (pressure signs)
31.5 gr : 3025 fps (pressure signs)

I sure hope everyone is using the same caliber if they are shooting the 88TMK!

Sorry, caught me before I drank my coffee.

Might be good to include DA or something similar since there will be a lot of interest in stabilizing with 1:8 twist.

I have some loaded up for my 1:7.75 22 creedmoor, headed to the range this morning and will update 👍🏻

Update: load was 39.0gr of N555 in alpha LRP. Average velocity 3080fps (24” barrel). This was sea level and 65 degrees.

the two off shots are probably me, I have not been shooting much and it was kind of a shitty bench setup..very promising, probably could be pushed faster but likely I will just leave it there and kill some things.

Do you have velocity recorded for your higher charges of CFE223? I've got everything I need to start loading for 22 Arc...aside from a gun lol. I'm expecting it fairly soon from LS Wild though, really looking forward to loading these up!

22ARC, 20” Howa Mini, 7 twist. I’ve only done pressure testing so far but it looks impressive.

Alpha brass, CCI450 primer, .020 off lands.

Topped out at 2920 with MR2000 and 2950 with H4895.

Have some loaded up for group testing soon.

22 Creedmoor
16.25” barrel
1/7 twist

2300 elevation.
55F
10mph, with gusts to 20.

All loaded as follows:
Alpha LRP brass
Trimmed to min saami length
Federal GM210M LRP
88gr TMK

Lands measured by making a dummy cartridge: dropped new 88gr TMK into throat. Gently tapped back of bullet to engage the lands with plastic rod. Put loctite in the neck of a fired piece of brass, inserted into action and closed the bolt.
Dummy cartridge for MY CHAMBER (not yours) measured 2.600” OAL.

I used the dummy cartridge to set up my seating die, and aimed for 2.575” OAL.

1. H4350 38.5gr
2883fps (5shot avg)

2. N555 40.5gr

3. SB65 41.0gr
2936fps (5shot avg)

4. H1000 43.5gr
2921fps (5shot avg)

Everything fed and ejected very easily.
Primers were plump and had round radius.
No ejector swipes.

Thank you sir, got my 88’s today and I’ve been using N555 with for 77’s in my 16.5” 22CM. I’m worried about stability with my 1:8 but it never seemed to be an issue with some 88 ELD-Ms I tried.

Im just glad I could repay the favor. Your posts when you were working up your 77gr load were a huge help to me when I started loading for this barrel.

As for the 1:8 barrel; I say just load them up and send it.
If it work, great. If not, well too bad. As good a reason as any other for a new barrel.

Nice! And yep, I just need 400 yard or so stable here at 400-500 ft elevation, anything longer would be out west at 8000’+ anyway. Bergers calculator says I’m fine. Oh no, I may have to push it a bit on speed to be extra comfortable :devilish::cool:

I had to put a barrel back on and I forgot it was 1:7.5 and didn’t notice that until it was torqued and out of the vise. I’m at the sea-est of the levels so I figured let’s see if it’ll do it. (I have an 18” 1:7 too)

It's almost summer here. If you haven't experienced SEUSA yellow pine pollen its something else. I'm wearing my Duckworth Vapor Hoody today too.

45gr Staball HD 2693fps. This was listed as a "Max Load" from that chart someone posted that Sierra said we should follow. I need 2775 to get quick drop at 0 elevation but man look at that group.

I'm back on that crappy brass I've been nursing and had a case head failure on the first round and partial on the second.

I'm tempted to stuff a few more grains in there and tap it down or get crunch to see if I can get 2775 but I really want to cut this barrel down to 14" so unfortunately another swing and a miss for Staball HD around here.

Here's 43gr H1000. 2718fps. 18" barrel.

DA is probably around -75 w/ warming since I shot the first group and the wind is picking up and gusting.

My election sign target was flapping and my reflex and suppressor were loose too. Still gotta good group. Lower right on the dot. The other group is from the prior post (Staball HD).

I chose 43gr off the "MAX Load" from that chart someone shared from Sierra recommendation but I don't have pressure so I'm going to juice it up to 2775fps and shoot 40 or so to check them for flat primers and bolt lift and roll with it.

Staball HD is like that kid that everyone was rooting for and said had "lots of potential" but lives in his mom's basement as an adult.

Gets the job done, but man pick up the pace.
