I recently acquired a 7mm08 and want to start working on loads for both the 140gr accubond and 139gr lrx. Any one loading those with H4350? I have a pile of that on hand, so it would be nice to make that work considering the current powder market. I also have a little bit of Varget and 8208 xbr to try, but not enough to last long.

From what I've found, looks like H4350 will work, but might not give me the best velocities with that combo. What's your go to powder with the 140s?

I wouldn't mind using varget. I like it in my 308 with 168s.

Winchester 760, which is same as Hodgdon H414 gives excellent velocity and accuracy in my Kimber Montana 7-08 with Barnes 120 gr TTSX or TSX bullets and CCI BR2 primers.

Seems like a bunch of love for 120s. Might need to grab a box of those to try also.

I would be seriously looking at 140 Absolute Hammers and running a fast powder and picking up speed without pressure. They also make a 119 Absolute Hammer that would be a screamer in a 7mm08

They recommend going to powders that match up with bullet weights one to two steps lower than your AH weight. A 130AH you would look at powders for 110-120 gr bullets and work up.

I use Varget and 140 Nosler Btips or Accubonds for sub MOA accuracy in three different 7-08 rifles. Good success with IMR 4064 and RL15 and RL17 as well. I have used H4350 and found good success as well. But...if you can find Varget, you wouldn't need anything else.

Cleanly harvested multiple cow elk, antelope and deer.

I use Varget for both 120 gr. BT and 139 gr. Interbonds with amazing accuracy and performance.

Looks like I'll start with varget and hope I find more before my half pound runs out.
