Haven’t found much info on loading this combo but it seems like it will make a great load so I’m going to try working some up tomorrow for my dads tikka superlight. I have reloader 22, imr and Hogdon 4350, imr 7977 and reloader 26 what powder would be your first choice for this ?

Ran a string of rounds loaded up in .5 grain increments up to 71 grains of reloader 22 which clocked in at 3426 today. 69.5 70 70.5 all were touching at 100 yards I will load up 10 more and zero the gun tomorrow should be good to go

I loaded him some at 70 grains which were at 3295 yesterday and shot them today. They shot well and 3” high at 100 is dead on at 300 and 8” low at 400 can’t beat that for an old man point and shoot rifle

Curious what twist rate was in that rifle as well as barrel length. I’m loading up some 131 HH for my 7mm using RL22 and was looking for a starting point.

That is a sweet load. I am working on loads for two buddies rifles in 7mm mag with the 131s. Will be using rl23 should settle in on 3300-3400 based on others load data.

That’s where I would like to be at with mine. I have high hopes for these bullets, no load data to start with really is a bummer though.

Check out the hammer hunter load data on long range hunting forum. Looks like 65-70gr of rl 23 is popular

Sorry haven’t checked up his rifle is a factory tikka super light. He took a nice mule deer in colorado with that load

That’s awesome man. Congrats to him.

Did you happen to run into any pressure when making that ladder? I shot mine today and can’t tell if I’m getting pressure or I have bad brass. Started seeing weird stuff at 64 gr.
I’m shooting a tikka t3x with a 22” barrel and a little bastard self timing break. Barrel is a 1:9.5 twist. Using cci 250 primers and once fired Nosler brass. The brass might be my weak point. They where FL sized but chambered a little hard today. I also found some bad primer pockets when reloading these and tossed those to the side.

I did not run into any problems like that I felt like I could have gone up quite a bit higher but stopped because the accuracy was good and speed was plenty fast. I was primarily using Winchester brass but did try some federal and Remington and the accuracy and poi at 300 yards seemed the same
