7mm-08 Rem success on big game

That sounds like a winner. According to GRT that's pretty spicy, but that's been my experience with Big Game on GRT as it doesn't have a lot of data points and lacks confident calibration for that powder. Can you please confirm your COL? If it's beyond 2.814, we'll see the pressure spike come down some.

I know she is a woman and a youth so 7mm-08 is perfect! trying to finish off these 120 sst so I can switch to the 120 nbt. My daughter’s first pronghorn. 1200 yard stock and 1 shot at 230 yards.

Update. 5 shot group with 120 NBT, R-P virgin brass, F210M, 50.0 Big Game. 2,972 fps average

Looking forward to this barrel settling in and maybe even seeing what my standard 140 accubond load does.

Didn’t see a pic of the target but I’ll assume it’s a good one.

Ain’t much that load won’t handle inside of 500 yards.

I’ve got em at 2,970 from a new 18” barrel, it might speed up a little bit.
Standard 50.0 BG, F210M, R-P brass.
Bought some fancy Alpha brass, but I’ve just been looking at it so far cause it’s so nice and shiny and perfect.

Standard 50.0 BG, Tula LRM, R-P brass.
Bought some fancy Alpha brass, but I’ve just been looking at it so far cause it’s so nice and shiny and perfect.

Obviously I’m not Doc, but I got 120 grain NBTs going 3000fps out of a 20” barrel with Varget. Big Game should be faster.
