I was just perusing ALLIANT'S website and read something that made me do a double take - I don't currently shoot (or own) any 7mm-08's but have worked up loads for 2 in the past and I'm a big fan of the cartridge
TSX 140 grain bullets - In writing ...
with 210M primer - Power Pro 2000 MR @ 48 gr = 3189 fps
with 210M primer - RL-17 @ 50.3 = 3114
didn't say on barrel length or if it was a pressure barrel or rifle, nothing about "accuracy" but these velocities seem pretty "out there" to me ...
Wondering IF they mistakenly listed for the 120 grain bullets ??

some results from quickload below for reloder 17. Sure looks like it's data for 120 tsx mislabled based purely on the predicted pressure. I used a 24" barrel, which probably makes up for the slight discrepancy in velocity if they used a 22"

Reviewing my data I got an avg of 2839 for 5 rounds using 139 gr lrx and 45.5 RL17. But, that's well below max. Groups started to open closer to max, pressure signs at 47.2.

To the OP,. that's got to be, a TYPO as, a .270 WSM with 140 grain bullets and 65-66 grains of Powder, are just going in the 3,150 to 3,200 FPS, "range" ! STAY,..AWAY from,.. that one ! My son's 7mm-08, can NOT get, those Velocities !
