I’ve been eyeing the 7BC quite a bit and I think it would make an excellent cartridge for a guide gun (full-time profession)

The rifle I want is weatherby 307 Alpine CT. The peak44 stocks fits me great and it checks a lot of boxes. Street price can be had around 18-1900.

A buddy of mine might sell me two begara b14 ridge rifles in .270 and .308 for $800.
Thought about rebarrel the .270 in 7BC and swap the stock for the peak44 and run it.

The only thing would be cost. I think building the b14 would be close-ish to cost of the alpine ct. Guess what I’m asking is would it be better to Buy or Build?
