I am in the same setup and just about to start working on a load. Care to share what worked for you.Nice! I'm testing 8208 and 77 tmks myself, but out of an AR with 20" bull barrel. Hoping to see some good results.
70-80 I just do 23 of xbrJust getting up to speed with reloading on a new dillon 550. Loaded up 15 with lapua brass, cci 450, 75 ELDm, 23.0 gr XBR dropped from the measure on the press and it put 15 rounds under MOA with 15 FPS SD. 2760 FPS avg in 18" wylde tikka. Load dev done
Worth noting that 23.0 gr XBR is less than what most people discuss here and that the velocity is pretty solid for an 18" barrel IMO. I thought this ACE barrel with the wylde chamber would take more powder than standard SAAMI chamber but this tube seems to build pressure/velocity quite fast and takes less powder than the factory tikka barrel it replaced.
I haven't worked with it since my previous post, so still only did the initial ladder. (Spent all my bench and range time working up Barnes TTSX loads for this fall in the .243 and .308.) I'll let you know when I get meaningful data.I am in the same setup and just about to start working on a load. Care to share what worked for you.
Im 1:8 twist @BringBackThe80s
Thanks I loaded some this weekend but have not been able to shoot them.I haven't worked with it since my previous post, so still only did the initial padder. I suspect TAC is recommended a lot because 1) it is usually available, 2) flows through a Dillon powder drop well. XBR was impossible to find for a long timeThis is my Go To combo in 223 AI. I very much love this powder. Most suggest TAC. I think XBR is quite a bit more FPS than max charge of TAC. My loads are over yours, but I am AI'd.
I've heard that before.Load dev done![]()

It’s a small/short extruded powder. In my limited experiments it seems to do just as well on the SD front when thrown as ball powders even if the charge weight variance is a bit larger. Is xbr extruded or ball?
8208 looks like short cut H4895.Is xbr extruded or ball?

Thanks fellas. Sounds like it works ok in a Dillon press. That’s where I’d be loading from.8208 looks like short cut H4895.
