I have a model 7400 that my Dad gave me. He bought it brand new at Wal Mart back in the day. I remember my uncle had a 7600. Seemed like everyone used to have one of those back then. Good luck.

I found mine on armslist. Guy was in PA and willing to ship. They pop up on there from time to time. Love my 760s and 7600s.

They never made a 7600 carbine in 35 Whelen...so, I made my own. I had a GS shorten the 22" barrel to 18.5" and remount the front site. It came with 2 original magazines marked 35 Whelen. It shoots factory Federal 225gr TBBC superb. This thing can kill just about anything. I love the way it carries in the woods too. Fantastic.

I stand corrected. Yeah, Ive never seen one for sale so I'm thinking they didnt make too many of them. I like my wood stocked version and that bit of extra weight helps manage the recoil....it's pretty lively with the 225gr TBBC ammo. I'd like to get a carbine in 308 Winchester at some point, but they are rare and spendy for a nice one.
