What will life be like in the life time of the next generation? It is way beyond are vision. To think from the Wright brothers in kittyhawk to a man walking on the moon took about 60 years. Any thought?

A "generation" is 20-30 years so 75 years is 2-3 generations. I agree that the rate of technological development, which has been accelerating, make it almost impossible to predict. The advancements in AI, human machine interface, and medical treatments will probably create a world we would not recognize in 75 years.

All you have to do is read history of other civilizations. We are accelerating every day towards extinction of modern civilization. It's just history repeating itself. I'm to old to be here in 75 years. At current rate I don't believe anyone will be here in 75 years.

We’ll be like Europe. Government will evolve to the point where its primary function is to redistribute money from those to work to those who don’t. And call it “fairness”. Everyone will be equally poor except the politicians who will be wealthy.

The evolution I have seen in hunting has been a trend toward less and less walking and fewer living off of wild meat. In the heavier treed country I'm anticipating few to no hunters and in the more open country - a fight over parking.

Non-Resident/Resident tag allocation arguments will become Extra-Terrestrial/Human allocation arguments.

I always thought X-Files was spooky and pretty far out there as a kid growing up. Rewatching it with my wife and there are some eerie similarities to what has become more or less normalized and all but confirmed today.

Couldn’t tell you but I got a crisp one hundred dollar bill that says the older generation will bitch about how lazy and entitled the younger generations are.
It's not that. I employ the younger generation and they are unwilling to do the basics like work 1 minute after 5, even though they got there at 8:10 and took a long lunch. Things have changed since I was that age and had to work 45 hrs a week or get another job. Lazy kids aren't gonna ruin the world, it will affect how their future is but not large scale.

It is the politics and "leadership" - they don't care about the people. Covid was a test of how much they could push stuff. Judges making rulings outside their "zone" to stop & slow things. Things like that. There is no going back without wiping the slate clean.

Man this post is bleak.

I'm hoping good men do what good men should when we get to the tipping point.
I’ve had several convos with friends where I have said exactly this - I just want to see a good man do a good thing and evil men be held accountable every once in a while and I honestly think that is the root of our frustrations and the whole issue with the Epstein debacle. Our society is starving for righteousness, accountability and justice or more simply stated like you put - for good men (and women) to do good things.

100%. I'm pretty conservative and share the same view. I was talking with a few buddies the other day and we were just kind of ashamed of the current situation and the lack of accountability, the fact that our politicians claim they need to use insider trading to feed their families and our prices are outrageous while we're in a new war and a foreign entity is controlling our "leaders". We're in trouble.
