Hey all. There's a N.I.B. Rem 700 Classic 300 Savage for sale here locally. I'm thinking it would make a nifty PA whitetail rifle to fiddle with. Anyone here loading for one of these? All my data is pretty lame. I figure it's scaled down for the old Savage lever rifles to be on the safe side. Just curious what kind of home brew folks have been running in the 700. Thanks!

I have one of these. Pretty rare from what I have heard. My father gave this to me for my 15th birthday about 20 years ago. It was a great MI deer rifle. We worked up a load for it back then. I remember that gun being a real tack driver. Now I take it out the the safe once a year and oil it and put it back. I will look and see if I still have the recipe my father and I worked up for it 20 years ago.
