Let’s get some fresh opinions:

7PRC on a 22” Proof Research barrel. It’s a hunting setup, western Elk mostly, so weight and length play a factor.

Looking for budget friendly, $500-700

Let’s hear some input! Thanks

Well ... For starters, you posted in General Discussion and the mods moved it to the Firearm section.

But your topic title makes no sense. Are your looking for a suppressor or a rifle with a carbon fiber barrel? I'm not aware of any factory made gun that comes with a carbon barrel and is sub $1000 so you're asking for a non existent gun

In your 500-700 dollar price range you don't have a lot of choices. You can do some research with the Silencer Shop or Silencer Central. I have a SilencerCo Harvester Evo on my 7PRC which is now a discontinued model. There are a lot of web sites that have suppressor tests and ratings.

If you already have the gun, ignore - otherwise, would highly recommend 18-20" barrel for that. 7 PRC is a thumper, and the 5.5" and smaller cans can't really cut a ton of recoil off of it. I'd be looking at the 6-8" cans larger than 1.5" dia, and I'd try and get one with a break on the end. For Ti, you aren't hitting that budget number, but if you want to lug around a 16oz or heavier can maybe there's a more budget steel one that would work. Either way, would recommend trying to maximize recoil reduction, unless you have a heavier rifle.

Get your self a Resilient Jolene S from Silencer Shop. I have it and several others and for the $, it is phenomenal. Really good sound suppression for its size and price.

Jolene S

There is a significant difference in sound and recoil going from a 6" to 8" can on 7PRC. In your budget, I'd be looking at a Diligent Defense Enticer LTI. The STI will be more convenient on a 22" barrel, but it's going to be noticeably louder and kick harder

I have the Enticer STi but it is over the OPs budget. It is not that significantly better for the price increase.

The STI can be had for sub-700. The LTI will be over by 65-70 bucks? Just looking at prices online now. I'm not sure what you are trying to say, the LTI is not significantly better for the price increase?
