Yesterday, I shot the 162 HHT with 71 grains of Ramshot Grand and the 160 LRX with 69 grains of N560. Both loads were extremely accurate. However, I will need to drop the Ramshot Grand load because I was getting a heavy bolt lift. It was weird because the primers weren't flattened and no ejector marks.
My rifle is the Weatherby Vanguard Black Hills with a 24" barrel.
160 LRX
N560 69.0gr
3.320 COL
CCI34 primers
ADG brass
3217 fps - SD 5 - ES 12
162 HHT
Ramshot Grand 71.0 gr
3.30 COL
White River large rifle primers
ADG brass
3218 fps - SD 8.1 - ES 20.6
I am going to try Grand at a lower charge with both bullets. The N560 load with the 160 LRX is money. 3200+ with a 160 grain bullet will be excellent on everything I hunt.
Merry Christmas!!
