my gripe with the influencers is just that, they are influencers. people paid to push a product and the massive hype. the day it came out it was like my whole youtube and instagram was filled with nothing but 7BC. not because its great or anything but because Federal paid a bunch of people to push their new round. This isnt a specific annoyance to Federal either, the whole idea of social media influencers just annoys me in general. It becomes a trend overnight for no other reasons other than the fact some dude you like to watch says its good... while being paid to say its good.
Remington did a patent in the 70's on steel cases and the russians have been doing it for a long time too. There plenty of 5.56 and pistol ammo in steel cases as well. Its not a new concept at all. and sure it can handle higher case pressures.. big deal. you can push brass to that too if you only want one shot out of it. making it no different than this steel case.
My issue is not so much with the round itself. maybe i didnt make it super clear.. i guess what im getting at is this is just a huge hype game thats caught Federal a lot of heat. In trying to combat that heat they are getting they are putting out videos that dont actually address the issues. Rather than coming out and being honest about it or just saying it’s not a round that has been designed to reload. But dont put out some shit to try and gaslight people and not actually address the concerns, such as resizing. how hard would it be to throw a comparator gauge on the case to show a shoulder bump?
