Kinda surprised that match bullet didn't just splash on the hide at that range, you should be using a bonded hammer partition X bullet for that kind of action.

Thanks man! JGS reamers will cut you anything you can dream up lol. They are also super helpful! In this specific case, I’d already had several of the Alex Wheeler 300 Norma Improved chambers done. So basically just called them, and them asked for the same case body specs, but with a neck for 7mm bullets.

Then I just used my same sizing and seating die, but just changes the neck bushings out on the sizing die.

This is one of those mystical areas of gun stuff that's always been of interest but I've never dug into. I think that's going to change. Thanks for the lead, it could be a lot of fun.

Last barrel swap for the 7-300 NMI. Went back to a 1-9 twist brux, finished at 26” for the season. Hopefully it shoots

I’ve killed a couple coyotes and a couple aoudad with it so far. Started shooting the 180 ELDM’s with H1000 for 3160 FPS.




Tested N570 with 180 ELDM’s recently. Might shoot this when hunting season nears a little closer. Here’s the speeds as well as the case heads.

I just run .001 neck tension. Anneal with an AMP annealer. Brush and moly the inside of the necks. Primal Rights primer seater with .002 crush. And weigh my powder charges to the closest kernel on a FX120i scale

I have a 26" 300 NMI and it's very impressive, but I am moving away from muzzle brakes and going back to 20" barrels with 7-9" suppressors. I find myself having to make quick shots often and I don't want to lose anymore hearing because I didn't take the time to put ear plugs in.

My 28 Nosler will push the 162s @ 3,100 out of a 20" barrel, but I have to run it hard which I do not enjoy.

I am trying to decide whether to build a 20" 300 NMI or a 7/300 NMI.
I'd like to push the 180 ELD-Murders @ 3,100.
The 30 cal bullets are great, but the lower recoil is why I am persuing the 7mm.

No, it’s exclusive to @barehandlineman that designed it and build the rifle. I’m sure he’d be happy to build you one though!! I got another one in the works already
