I just received 2-3rd and 2-4rd 223XL (2.70") mags from @pods8 (Rugged Stitching)

i cycled 2.25" 223 through them several times and they feed perfect.
then I cycled 2.55" 6x45 through them, they also cycled perfect.
Then at the range, cycled/fired what I had loaded. zero issues.

These may be exactly what the 223/6x45 w/heavies needs to maximize their potential.

Have you tested any of the 107's in the 6x45 yet? What kind of velocities are you seeing?

I don't have those "Tikka 223XL" listed up yet because I just made them per @longrangelead request till they functioned on my end (limited testing cycling 6x45 rounds into my 223 till they jamed) and then sent them to him for full validation.

the long ones in the pic are 107's. They are left overs from Form's initial tests.
I'll have to double check, but iirc, they were around 2550 and no pressure signs.

I have one and it's a decent caliber. Push 223 brass in a 6x45 die and you're done.
GR for gr, it'll shoot faster than 223. Bc for bc, it'll shoot slower. So there's trade offs.

There's also 20 practical if you wanna go smaller.
Or 25-45 if you wanna go larger.

I was referring to Libertyrisk’s post above about seeing how 6ARC bolts hold up at 100,000psi. That is a lot of pressure to create 6” from your face to see how a bolt holds up. At least in my mind. Maybe I’m just being overly cautious.

Have this barrel chambered in 6x45 on its way to me in the next week or so.

I’ll probably have to put it on a howa mini action given the tenon diameter.

Should end up 20 ounces or so. Which should easily allow a sub 6.5lb scoped and suppressed build on the mini action.

I agree and would say it's completely natural to be overly cautious of a 100K PSI case going off 6in from your face! haha. SOCOM /JSOC already testing and implementing high pressure cases from .556 - .50BMG. Various manufactures are also developing and keeping the cards close to the table. Going to be cautiously exciting moving forward.
