Anyone playing around with the 6mm prc? I see the 6UM post but I’ve got lots of prc brass that I can use. Wondering if I’ll be able to move a 108gr bullet 3000fps+ with an 18” barrel? Would you do the 6mm prc again or keep it simple and stick with the 6.5 prc?

Curious about this wildcat lately. Just a straight 6prc. No fire forming and no saum brass, apposed to 6UM. Who else has data? I see pbb offers it. Also wondering if anyone shoots 110 atips out an 8 twist barrel?
Killed a decent sized buck at 180 yards and a coyote at 200 yards with mine. Killed them both pretty good. Pretty sweet little cartridge with basically no recoil.

Who chambered the barrel? What powders have you tried? Are you necking down in one pass?
TS Customs did the whole build. I’ve used 4831 SC and H1000 and 105-115gr. bullets. Getting 3100-3300fps.

Yes I necked down in one pass with an SAC PRC sizing die, which makes it a little easier because of their design that incorporates the shoulder angle with the neck bushing.

3180-3200 in a 22" bbl is where I was at with the 108. That was a moderate load that was easy on brass. If you need a reamer, let me know, I have one that's cut 2 chambers I'd be willing to sell and it's set up for the 108 at .140" freebore

What twist are you guys running? And have you had problems spinning bullets apart? Carbon rings? I might be interested in that reamer….

Mines a 24” 7.5 twist and I haven’t had any issues with bullets separating. Yeah it gets a decent carbon ring and the throat starts cracking pretty early. Maybe get 800 shots out of it I’d guess.

From everything I have read not only does twist have an impact on jacket issues but also the number of grooves. Seems to be that 5 and 6 groove barrels are easier on jackets compared to 3 and 4 groove. High speed, fast twist, and 3 groove is a harsh combination. Just something to keep in mind

Just got mine a week ago. 19" barrel and berger 108s have shot good, with virgin brass. N165. Be a couple weeks before much shooting
