6mm Creedmor or 6.5?

I'd lean towards a 6 arc in chambering, right up to where tikka & weatherby don't do it... lol
At least currently the 243 smokes the 6cm on ammo availability, and tikka spins them 1:8 to allow you to shoot heavies. To me the 6cm is a new wrapper over the tried and true 243.

On second thought, with the 6arc, your factory ammo will be ar15 friendly stuff and 250 fps slower than a bolt gun should sling them. Id do 243

For those who don't reload, 243 has poor ammo choices. Lots of variety, but nothing great.

6 Creed lets you shoot factory loaded heavies and you don't have to spec longer throats and reload to do it well.

A 6 creed is not a repackaged 243 any more than the 243 is a repackaged 6mm Lee Navy. Which is to say the flat brim 243 fan boys need to cut it out with their new fangled, and improperly spec'd cartridge.

I will probably go back to 243 once my 6 Creed barrel is done, but I reload. Perhaps I should get a 6mm Remington just to be a contrarian.

I have both a 6.5 cm and a 6. I like 6 more for everything I would use either of them for. I had planned to rebarrel the 6.5 into something else after shooting up my ammo stash.

That said, now with +peak ammo I will likely rebarrel my 6.5 prc instead and let the 6.5cm take its slot instead.

Given what you already have I would for sure do the 6 though.
