6mm ARC Velocities

The 95s are just not shooting well for me, so I’ll probably go with the 107s, which go about 1.2 MOA for 10 shots. Factory Frontier 105 FMJ went 0.86 MOA for 10 shots. I’m happy with the velocity from this barrel given that it’s an 18”.

It’s probably not worth the effort to chase precision on the 107s but it irks me it shot so much worse than the cheap Frontier stuff. I’m considering trying another powder for the hell of it to see if the group will tighten up and still keep around 2500 fps. That velocity has a really quick drop and stays above 1800 fps out to 500 yards which is more than enough for me.

After trying this 8208 XBR, what powder should I try for the 107s for accuracy? Varget? Benchmark? Sierra lists Varget as their “accuracy load” with the 107s from a 6 ARC bolt gun, so I’m tempted to try that.

I had good accuracy from Shooters World Precision Rifle and the 107tmk from my 6arc mini action. Varget would be right with it.
