Limited info and not necessarily with a small caliber, but the two I have killed were with a single shot to the neck as form mentioned. Both dropped immediately.Any folks have data on killing bison, with a smaller caliber. I have been on 6 hunts and the kills have ranged from 1 to 7 shot kills. This was long before I learned about bullet selection, most likely we were using off the shelf ammo in 30 caliber and buffalo bore loads in 45-70.
Planning to take a 6 creed with 108 eldms and a 45-70. Based off my elk kills, I feel confident in the 6 creed. Any thoughts?
They’re close enough, why don’t you just put the bullets in the spine in the neck?
